Travelers Comments:
"A Perfect Winner"
We spent a week at this wonderful hotel and had an interior Club Room on the second floor overlooking the pool and it was perfect. Service was first rate and the breakfast buffet included with a Club Room was worth it. Also included was a cocktail/social hour every day. Julia in housekeeping "went beyond the call" daily in room preparation (probably the best daily service in Mexico). We used the Oaxaca Hotel Group to book our trip and it was a winner.

"A Wonderful Escape"
The Camino Real is like a little piece of heaven right in the center of the city. Perfect location. Easy to walk into the town center and enjoy the restaurants and cafe scene. The grounds of the hotel are exquisite. Each courtyard gives a new view and atmosphere. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic - but there are so many choices for good food in Oaxaca. The additional services provided to Club Level guests are worthwhile. The hotel is a beautiful restoration and worth the trip!
"Enchanting hotel"
My wife and I stayed at this beautiful convent-turned-hotel during our first time in Mexico. You can spend an evening just walking the grounds - the interior courtyards were my favorite, and with subtle lighting - quite romantic at night. We must have taken as many pictures of each other on the grounds of the hotel as we did outside its walls. The staff was exceptionally helpful and courteous. The food at the restaurant was excellent, especially the breakfasts (a feast).
"Consistently Treated with Kindness"
Many of the front desk staff are proficient in Spanish, English, French and German. We were always greeted with a cheerful "Buenos Dias", even from the maids and grounds keepers as soon as we stepped outside our room. We were consistently treated with kindness and some amusement because of my halting Spanish. We have recommended this hotel to several people since our return. I can't say enough good about it. We expect to return to Oaxaca this Christmas to see the festivities and plan to stay here again. It was a charming and very positive experience.

Aero Tucan provides daily direct flights between Oaxaca and Huatulco.

Enjoy the beautiful grounds within the hotel, such as the spacious outdoor pool area with its charming bar 'Novicias' tucked under the archways, as well as the beautiful Patios 'Los Lavaderos' and 'Los Naranjos', 'Las Rosas' and 'Bugambilias'.
You might be tempted to just stay in the hotel to bathe in the ambiance of the luxurious authenticity found in every nook and cranny, but there is so much to find in a culturally rich colonial city like Oaxaca that you'll be out exploring right after your magnificent breakfast buffet out in the patio

Make your trip near perfect by combining your Oaxaca visit with a beach vacation, staying at the Camino Real Zaashila in Huatulco.
